Arnold Joseph Kukacka, 96, of Montgomery, died on Monday, Jan. 27, 2020, at his home in Montgomery. Visitation and prayer service will be held on Friday, Jan. 31 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Interment will take place at Bohemian National Cemetery in spring.
Arnold was born on June 14, 1923, in Montgomery on the family farm to Joseph and Anna (Tarba) Kukacka. Arnold was united in marriage to Delores Duffney on November 18, 1941, in Montgomery.
Born on April 4, 1958, in New Prague, Minnesota, raised in Montgomery, Minnesota. Mary Therese Schatz-Grootveld was diagnosed with ALS in March, 2019.
She lost her battle and died peacefully in her sleep on December 7, 2019 at her home in Snohomish, Washington at 61.
She received her Master’s Degree from WWU in 2007 and her PhD. in Philosophy, with Concentration on Rehabilitation and Clinical Counseling from East Caroline University in 2017. Mary loved her job as a counselor. Her best job ever was raising her two boys.
Dorothy Ann Sladek, age 88 of Dundas and formerly of New Trier and Bloomington, died peacefully following a brief illness on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Mayo Clinic Health System - St. Mary's Campus, Rochester.
She married Allen Sladek of Montgomery on June 21, 1980.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 20 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation from 9-11 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Trier. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Memorials are preferred to St. Mary's Church or to donor's choice.

Alvin R. Pany, 90, of New Prague, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2019, at Mayo Clinic Health System Hospital New Prague. Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 10, 2020, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. with Father George Grafsky officiating. Burial will be in the Bohemian National Cemetery in Montgomery.

Betty died on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at St. John’s Lutheran Home in Albert Lea. She was born November 10, 1929, in St. Paul, MN, to Edward and Madeline (Gerke) Gabriel.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Jan. 3, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Montgomery. Interment and military rites will be at Calvary Cemetery, Montgomery.
A memorial visitation will be held at the church for two hours prior to the services on Friday.

Glenn Louis Kerkow, 86, of Montgomery, formerly of Jordan, passed away on Christmas morning 2019 at the age of 86. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 4, 2019 at 11 a.m. with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. at St John Lutheran Church, 105 Spruce Avenue NW, Montgomery. Pastor Jason Pollington will preside. Glenn’s grandchildren will act as pallbearers, and he will be laid to rest at Spirit Hill Cemetery in Jordan.
Jane Nash, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away surrounded by family on December 18th at Our Lady of Peace Hospice in St. Paul, at the age of 75.
Milton F. Holetz, age 89, of Montgomery passed away suddenly but peacefully Monday, December 9, 2019, at his home on the farm where he lived for 53 years.
Milton was born in rural Lexington Township, Le Sueur County, on May 14, 1930 to Frank and Emily (Kalina) Holetz. As a child he attended country school and helped his parents on the farm back when fields were plowed with a team of horses and everyone looked forward to threshing day in the fall. He graduated from Montgomery High School and attended a commercial college in Mankato to be an accountant.
Ardys Leone Peterson, age 101, of Montgomery, formerly of Bloomington, died peacefully, surrounded by her family on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2019 at Traditions of Montgomery.
James J. Hruska, 97, of Montgomery, passed away on Friday, Dec. 6, 2019 at Central Health Care in Le Center.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with Mass of Christian Burial at 11a.m. Interment will be at a later date in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Lexington.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Non-Profit Animal RESCUE 55021 in Faribault, MN.
John B. Hiscox, 65, died on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019 at 4 p.m. at Abbott Northwestern Hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019 at Northfield Moravian Church (Main Street), 317 Division Street South, Northfield. The service will start at 1 p.m. and be officiated by Pastor Barry Lehman.

Mary Jane Vosejpka (Novak) age 83 of Lonsdale, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on November 25, 2019.
Mary Jane Novak was born on October 24, 1936 in Veseli, MN to “Laddy” and Anna Novak. She attended Most Holy Trinity School in Veseli.
Mary Jane married Francis “Fritz” Vosejpka on May 12, 1956 in Veseli. After their marriage they moved to the Vosejpka family farm where they farmed for 25 years. While farming they started Vosejpka Meats and ran their business for 22 years until their retirement in 2001.
