Nancy Elizabeth Matychuk, 52

Nancy Elizabeth Matychuk, age 52, of Shakopee, died suddenly at her home on Sunday, March 31, 2019. Nancy was born on December 15, 1966 in Farmington, MN to Wendel and Darlene (Bangtson) Brooks. She grew up in Apple Valley until 5th grade when the family moved to New Prague, where she graduated from high school. She married David S. Matychuk on June 7, 1986 in Burnsville, MN. The joy of Nancy’s life was her best friend and husband and five children whom she home-schooled.

Sheila M. Brewers, 70

Brewers, Sheila M., age 70 of Montgomery, passed away March 21, 2019. Sheila Marie Brewers, or "Poopsie", as some so fondly called her, was born May 17, 1948 in Marshall, MN. She attended school in Ghent, MN and later pursued her GED. She was happily married to Joseph Brewers on November 10th, 1973. In the late spring of 1984 Sheila packed up her small town life and headed east for “the cities” – Ironically, landing in Montgomery, MN – yet another small town a little over an hour outside the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN).

Jeffrey VonBank, age 56 of Northfield, passed away with his family by his side, on Friday afternoon, March 29, 2019, at the Northfield Hospital Long Term Care Center, following a lengthy illness.

Kareen Alice Jacobson, 76

Kareen Alice Jacobson, age 76, of New Prague, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Physicians Regional Medical Center Naples Florida, with her husband by her side.
Kareen was born on June 28th, 1942 in Cresco, Iowa to Alice and Louie Peter. She graduated from Cresco High School and achieved her LPN degree through St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester MN. Upon graduation, she worked in the Open Heart Intensive Care Unit and loved her cardiac patients.

Genevieve A. Pauly, 94

Genevieve A. Pauly, age 94, of New Prague, died peacefully, surrounded by her family on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Mala Strana Rehabiltation Center.  Gen was born on July 23, 1924 in New Prague to Frank W. and Emma (Tupy) Kubes.  She grew up and attended school in the New Prague area and married Edwin J. Pauly on April 3, 1948, at St.

Walter (Bill) Wagner, 68

Walter (Bill) Wagner, age 68, of Hickory Hills, Illinois, died peacefully on Friday, February 1, 2019 in Chicago following a long illness. Bill was born in Chicago on April 5, 1950 to Walter W and Jean (Jernstrom) Wagner. Bill graduated from Benet Academy, Lisle, Illinois in 1968, and graduated with a degree in Political Science from the University of Minnesota in 1972. He married Wanda Terlikowski in Chicago. They lived in Chicago until the time of their divorce in 2004.

Grace C. Dobmeier, ­­­­­­72, of Montgomery, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2019, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Visitation will be Saturday, April 6 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m. with Father Victor Valencia officiating. Interment will be held at St. John Catholic Cemetery in rural Montgomery. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.

Theresa M. Odenthal, age 79 of Faribault, died on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. with the Reverend Kevin Kenny officiating.
Visitation will be at Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 4 to 7 p.m. and also at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Helen Lucille Severns, ­­­­­­88, of Montgomery, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Mala Strana Health Care in New Prague. Visitation will be Friday, March 29 from 9am to 11am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11am with Father George Grafsky officiating. Interment will be held at St. Michael Cemetery in rural Montgomery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to a Chemical Dependency- Depression/ Suicide program.

Thomas Dvorak, 63

Thomas Dvorak, age 63, died February 27, 2019 after a long Parkinson’s illness. He was born July 30, 1955 to William and Theresa Dvorak. He graduated from New Prague High School. Thomas is survived by Leonard and Diane Hertaus-Pexa, New Prague, William and Mae Dvorak, Utah, Tom and Mary Kellen, North Carolina, Charles Dvorak, Bloomington, Ken Dvorak and special friend Barb, Kansas and Mark and Linda Dvorak, Le Center.
Thomas is preceded in death by Michael and LuAnn Dvorak of Montgomery.
