A man New Prague police and Nicollet County Sheriff’s deputies sought was found deceased, according to a press release from the New Prague Police Department Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 11.
Daniel Labelle, 53, who was reported missing Monday, Aug. 10, was found deceased in rural Nicollet County.
“The circumstances surrounding his death remain under investigation. No additional details are being released currently,” according to a press release from Tim Applen, chief of the New Prague Police Department. “This remains an active investigation. There is no threat to the public relating to the death, or the investigation.”
LaBelle was last seen Sunday, Aug. 9, near the 700 block of N Third Street in St. Peter. He was driving a 2015 gray Toyota Camry. A Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension endangered persons alert indicated there was concern for his safety.
“We also thank the community, assisting agencies and everyone who shared information or helped with the search,” Applen said in his press release Tuesday. “The New Prague Police Department extends its deepest condolences to Mr. Labelle's family and friends. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) issued an endangered missing person alert as the New Prague Police Department is requesting the pubic’s assistance in locating Daniel Labelle, age 53, Labelle was last seen Sunday, Aug. 9. near the 700 block of N Third Street in St. Peter. He was driving a 2015 gray Toyota Camry with Minnesota license plate NXA334. There is concern for his safety said the alert.
Labelle is a 5-foot, 9-inch tall Asian male, weighing 150 pounds with black to gray hair.
