Mary Ellen Pass, 85

Mary Ellen Pass, age 85, of Shakopee, MN, entered eternal life on Monday, January 15, 2024, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee.
Mary Ellen was born in New Prague, MN, on April 14, 1938, the daughter of Alfred and Veronica (Deutsch) Hartman, and raised in Saint Benedict.
She enjoyed playing cards and bingo, puzzles, card making, taking trips with the Shakopee Community Education program, camping, gardening and canning. She was a member of the Senior Citizen's Club and Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary of Shakopee. Mary Ellen especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; sons, Joseph and Dale; grandson, Travis Hentges and son-in-law, Mark Hentges; parents, Alfred and Veronica Hartman; brothers and sisters, Marvin, Melvin (Carol) Hartman, Lavina Hartman, and Virginia Picka; brothers-in-law, Jerome Pass, Jerry Weckman. She is survived by children, Diane (Mike) Gregor, Gloria (Charlie) Bisek, Ken (Tonia), Cheryl (Lonnie) Luce, Renee Hentges, Jim (Amber). Mary Ellen was very proud of her 20 grandchildren, David Gregor, Tanner and Tyler Bisek, Meagan (Charlie) Theis, Kevin (Sammie) Pass and Alex (Ellen) Pass, Kari (Brennan) Ertmer, Katie (David) Huebner and Kelly (Drew) Neubauer, Tim (Sara) Hentges, Tom (Jenna) Hentges, Samantha (Jerad) Breeggemann, and Trevor (Ashley) Hentges, Harry Pass, Jack Pass, Cam Pass, Clay Hanus, Reed Hanus and Paige Hanus; 21 great-grandchildren, Kendra, Asher, Lennox and Harlyn, Levi and Emma, Conley, Harrison, Laila, Lelan, Brooks, Wells, Benton, Laken, Emmitt, Harper, Aria, Weston, Landon, Tucker and Lincoln; sister, Linda (Ken) Picka; in-laws, Donald Picka, Betty Weckman, Marcie (Rich) VonBank, Gene (Jodi) Pass, Ruth Pass.
Visitation Sunday, January 21, 2024, from 4-7 p.m., and Monday, January 22, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., both at McNearney-Schmidt Funeral and Cremation, 1220 3rd Ave. East, Shakopee, 952-445-2755. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, at 11 a.m., at The Parish of Saints Joachim and Anne, Church of St. Mary, 535 Lewis St. South, Shakopee. Interment Catholic Cemetery, Shakopee.
