Le Sueur County and the City of Montgomery approved a permit by Joshua and Jonathan Beulke last month for establishing a mental health clinic at the former Lakeside Supper Club.
The application by the Beulke brothers was approved Tuesday, June 22 by the Le Sueur County Board, and in a special meeting by the City of Montgomery on June 7.
The outpatient clinic, which is currently at 100 Oak Ave. SW in the City of Montgomery, will be moved to the former supper club on Lake Pepin.
According to information from the county Planning and Zoning office, the Clinic will be converted to have six offices, work areas, a lounge for breaks, waiting/reception area, and spaces for clients to learn and relearn skills lost due to mental illness, like washing dishes, organizing items, prepare simple meals, … etc.
Plans initially include seven office workers (CEO, CFO, two Residential Program Managers, a Substance Use Clinic Director, Mental Health Therapist and Administrative Assistant. In the future, plans are to hire a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), and two Mental Health Therapists.
The average daily traffic to the location is expected to be between 20 to 50 people during the open hours of 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday.
