Drugs and alcohol governed his life for many years. He knows the struggle, the pain, and the consequences.
Gerres opened Spirits at Rest, a drug and alcohol treatment center in Montgomery, earlier this year, but quickly identified a need for a program for adolescents.
“We’re in the process of writing a treatment plan and getting licensed to counsel adolescents, but we don’t want to wait. We want to start now. We need to start now. These kids need to hear the consequences of using right now,” he stated.
