Dennis Joseph Novak, 72, of Veseli, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at home surrounded by loved ones.
Dennis was born on May 20, 1954, to Joseph and Glorene (Fahrenkamp) Novak. Dennis grew up on the family farm and graduated from New Prague. He married Kathy (Bolton) Novak in July of 1973.
Dennis was a hard worker and an avid farmer all his life. He spent most days milking cows and in the field. He also worked at Green Giant in Montgomery and drove truck over the road.
Dennis loved to dance to polka, country, and listen to Elvis Presley. Other hobbies included playing euchre and pfeffer, going to auctions, telling stories in the shed, and loved spending time with family and friends, hunting and fishing. He was a member of Monty’s Marauders Saddle club. Dennis had a love for animals, especially his horse King. They enjoyed parades and galivanting all over Savage by the old Trestle bridge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Guy Novak. Survived by daughters Brenda (Paul) Laurent, Jennifer (Scott) Krenik, son Jason (fiancé Casey Winter) Novak, daughter Shelly (Kenny Schmitt) Novak, son Frank (Krystal) Novak, and daughter Kathy Novak. 12 grandchildren, Kimberley (Joe) Pesta, Anthony Stepka, Casey & Shannon Laurent, Allen & Kylee Krenik, Riley & Emelyn Krebsbach, Jaxson, Henry, and Ellie Jo Novak. 4 great-grandchildren Kelly, Emily, and Lainey Pesta, Braxten Stepka. Sisters Linda (Paul) Dietz and Vicky (Kris) Papulas, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at White Funeral Homes in Lonsdale, Mn, on August 29, 2026, at 11 a.m. with a gathering of family and friends starting at 9:30 a.m. A potluck at the farm will follow.
