The New Prague Fire Department’s volunteer firefighters gave back to the community it serves with an open house on Sunday, Oct. 2. People attending could enjoy a pancake breakfast with sausages, pastries and beverages. Children and youngsters could try on firefighter’s gear or try their hand at aiming of the fire hoses. The warm fall day was a perfect one for the open house. People could also watch the North Memorial Air Ambulance land and tour the helicopter. There were also tours of the station, firetrucks, a New Prague Police vehicle, and demonstrations of the fire department’s ladder truck.
