The WEM baseball team is one of four teams remaining in the Section 2AA baseball tourney after winning two games last week. The Bucs shut out Blue Earth Area 3-0 Friday, June 1 and defeated Blue Earth Area, 7-3, Saturday, June 2. These two wins came against teams who defeated WEM earlier in the season. The Bucs will host No. 1 seed St. Peter at 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 5 in Waterville. If they win, they would play Belle Plaine 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game Tuesday. The Section 2AA Championship is scheduled for Thursday, June 7 in Waterville at 5 p.m. Tuesday night's winner will play Jordan, the lone undefeated team in the Section.
